Convert Photo into 3D JPS 2D animated GIF for Picasa and Facebook

LG has integrated 3D Youtube in the first smartphone with 3D camera. But what about the photos, unless you, your friends and family have a way to see these pictures in 3D, they are pointless in the computer or the Internet.
The Picasaweb, Flickr and Facebook has no role in 3D in your albums.
The only Android app site and I found this function is unknown Phereo :

In the "wiggle" it shows an animated GIF by changing the view from the right eye and left eye, so of course it automatically is not always good.
Working in Photoshop it is possible to make this transition more harmonica. But from what I have to be tested in the Gimp and not Photoshop, although I love the Gimp.
For the GIF format only supports 256 colors, and the Gimp was very bad with the colors, the better able to optimize Photoshop.

Convert JPG to JPS

When you copy the pictures 3D LG P920 (Optimus 3D) to the computer they come in JPS format. The problem is that the viewer of Windows shows up one of these images, but when you click to see the next it goes to the pictures in JPG ignoring JPS.
The viewer Picasa as well as the latest Photoshop Disem also do not know the format, even though he is a simple JPG with a photo next to each other.
The Gimp opens correctly, but before I edit the photos to see them and sort them, either directly in Windows or Lightroom.
My solution was to make a copy of the JPS files to a new folder, enter via MS-DOS, but the old command window and then find the folder you want to just give the command:
ren *.jps *.jpg
That is to rename all jps to jpg. Of course it is possible to do this manually one by one directly on windows.
Ready now the programs and Windows itself already understand what it is these files.

Convert to animated GIF with Photoshop

3D to 2D with Photoshop
So I set to begin an action in Photoshop to crop the jpg now in the middle and put each half in a layer. This action can be downloaded here:
www.riesel.com.br / JPS to GIF.atn
Not always the most important point of the photo is overlapping with the right to check on and off the top layer.
If you want to improve the overlay change the opacity of the top layer to 30% and try to position album object that is standing out in the center of the picture in the same position that this is in the lower layer.
Now to save it from an animated GIF in "File> Save for Web & Devices" (Schift + Alt + Ctrl + S)
Change the output resolution to a width of 800px if you send to Picasaweb 500px or if you want to post on Facebook.
And since this file is a copy of the original JPS take this opportunity to actually save it as JPG. Check which of the layers is better and save it with only a JPG image to have the 2D normal.

Finally publish on the Web

For Picasaweb is not possible to send these GIF files for the program Picasa, you have to assemble an album and add pictures directly from the website.
Apparently the animation is not seen in all browsers.
Facebook tried to send in all forms, aa one who has worked with the application http://apps.facebook.com/animated-picture and yet often fails. This application will only publish the photo on the Wall, the images that are in your albums are all converted by Facebook thereby losing the animation.

Next Version of Android: F to Froyo

Following the line put the name of a dessert for each version of Androido Mr. Erick Tseng - Senior Product Manager of Android - reported that the next version will be the Froyo or frozen yogurt. People were betting on Flan for dessert with F.

Only it was not clear if this will be the version 2.x or 3.x

The current versions are Cupcake (1.5), Donut (1.6) and Eclair (2.0). I'm waiting for version 2.0 for the G1, I hope they can make it run with 192 MB of RAM. This sure Eclair already pledged to the Magic that has versions with 192 and 288 MB of RAM.

I am currently using version 1.6 of Android ROM with Cyanogen Mod 4.2.13 and more Theme MarksTheme, which leaves appeared and functions very similar to what I have seen in 2.0, but some failures and some plugins are still making me missing .

Google Maps Navigation outside the U.S.

The Google Navigation is a free browser that can do something that neither Tomtom or Garmin managed to do so soon, to show the path using the photos of the path itself. This has a browser that uses Street View, the idea is so good that a few hours after the announcement, shares of both have had absurd drops of 16% (Garmin) and 21% (TomTom).

But Google has locked using the Navigation function in Google Maps on Android for anyone outside the U.S., nothing that the people at XDA can not solve. They put two versions available for those who want to try this super system, someone who has access to a root and another for those without such access.

maps3.3.1-directions-by-the-root-2.apk (2.27 MB) or maps3.3.1-by-directions-root-2.apk (2.27 MB) ( Tip of the android-hilfe.de )

To install the root is more complicated because you must uninstall and then install Maps that changed with the commands:

adb remount

adb shell find / system / data-name \ * google \ * maps.apk \ *-o-name-delete Maps.apk

adb uninstall com.google.android.apps.maps

adb install-r-directions maps3.3.1-by-root-2.apk

adb reboot

The version-root installs in one second but the Maps folder (com.google.android.apps.m4ps) or they changed the maps by m4ps. I installed this way as well as continuous updating normally Maps and the first time I called the Navigation function he asked me to decide what I would use, then scored to remember and always use the m4ps.

Nav Launcher

Ready after we have released Navigation Nav Launcher install which is available in Market, is a simple screen with options to find a destination. Contacts appear only in your Google contacts that have registered address.

Another way to use it directly within the Navigation Maps, where it was possible to assemble a route now also can ask to use the Navigation Route.

But not all flowers, in my tests it did not work in Portuguese, but it worked in English and German. Another problem is that Street View is not yet available either here or in Germany and in Brazil, so you can use it only on the map with satellite photos.

I still want to test it some more because without Street View he seems weaker than CoPilot Live, that despite being expensive has the maps offline.

PS

Personal! get the latest version 4.0 of the navigation maps for Brazil. Just install:

For those who have root, http://ul.to/cle2zs/maps4.0.0-1.6-brut3.apk

For those who do not have root access, http://ul.to/al55qq/maps4.0.0-1.6-brut3-nonroot.apk (4.0.0)

It's better than the previously available version 3.3.0.1 .... Now you can do the "pinch and zoom" (zoom with multi touch) and also save as a favorite!

How to capture the screen of Android Phones (or Printscreen Screenshot)

snap20091107_190239 snap20091107_190303 I need to reinstall a good part of the programs I have on my phone, and so I had to assemble a list of installed applications. I'll take to go to the blog, commenting on the best application. To do so must first be able to capture the screen of the mobile.

I found some ways to do this:

  1. Via SDK following the tip of the site esferaandroid.com or www.simplehelp.net
  2. With the application screenshot-application as found on the site koushikdutta.com
  3. Or the application ShootMe certainly the most practical way.

With the screenshot application set-up a time and then the unit is making images during this period. But the images do ShootMe if the device is shaken for about 5 seconds. Just activate the program and then when you want an image shake the device accelerometer that enables the program, it is possible to listen to when the image is made. The images are saved on the SD card in the "ShootMe." An example are the pictures from this post, click to enlarge.

Syncing Outlook with Google and the Android Caledar

Finally an official way to sync Outlook with the company's Google Calendar on my phone. I've used some programs to do this, but the latter stopped working when the company upgraded to Office 2007.
With the free tool from Google Calendar Sync you can sync Outlook with Google Calendar even in Android smartphones (like T-Mobile G1 or Vodafone HTC Magic).
The tool works on Windows XP and Windows Vista and works with both Outlook 2003 and the 2007. You can download Google Calendar Sync here.
Once you have downloaded the program comes with the data from your Google account and select the 2-Way Sync to synchronize both accounts.
Tip of the site www.go-android.de

PS As detailed in the post:
Google Apps Sync for Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft responds with warning about bug in the tool is best to update the application, although I have not had problems.

Finally released the new phone with Google's Android operating system here in Germany a few months after U.S. release.
Some time ago I was looking to buy a Smartphone, but I did not want to be an Apple Iphone.
My first impressions are very good, especially in relation to hardware, I can say that:
- It is beautiful, especially the black
- The keyboard is comfortable to type.
- Does not seem to be very sensitive to risk, alias comes with a plastic to protect the screen and a little bag.
- The screen is almost the same size as the iPhone, lacking only a few mm, the resolution is good, and the touch works very well.
- To aid navigation still have the scroll.
- The camera is great, 3.2MP high focus.
- Bluetooth is stereo (although I will buy a headset for it)
- The only thing I disliked was the position of the headset, as connected with them is bad typing.

Now with regard to the new Android operating system I think the numbering is wrong, this version should not be here but the 1.1 (0.alguma thing), has many things that are still unfinished, but it will greatly improve in the next months, the main flaws:
- Has no way to turn off the internet, and it downloads even with no applications running and apparently disconnected with the update.
- No task manager, so it is not possible to know what is running.
- Still does not support bluetooth stereo
- No bookmark in the browser, but Chrome is better than the native Opera.
But some things surprised me, as:
- Integration with my Google account, he brought my calendar and contacts automatically, and now I have Gmail contacts who were in the Sim-Card.
- Changing the photo of the contact in Gmail (site), this picture appears when the person calls you. Directly it is not possible for the photo on contact.
- Quantity of good and free programs in the Android Market.
- Looks very pretty, with transition effects and transparency.
- Very fast in responding to any command.
- Intuitive, but it is necessary to learn what changes are made when you click on the item and if it has clicked, and can even copy and paste with ease.

For now it is, I'll test the programs that I downloaded and put a summary in the coming days.
(Post typed in G1 with Postbot)

Testing the posting directly from G1

This is only a test to see if it is possible, post directly from my new smartphone, the T-Mobile G1 (HTC Dream).
The keyboard until it's not bad, but I still need to get used to typing on a keyboard so small.
At least now I have no more excuses for not posting.
